Can I trust a seller selling textbooks on Amazon.com, what type of scams/issue should I be aware of?
Cheap College Books November 20th, 2008I am looking to purchase my textbooks from private sellers through Amazon.com that are selling used textbooks, is it safe?
What are some risks/things I should watch for?
Make sure the ISBN numbers on the text match, so you are not sold out of date editions. That’s probably the biggest problem I’ve heard my students encountered. (college prof)

I don’t think you have to worry. I’ve purchased from quite a few of the Amazon sellers and I’ve never, ever had any trouble at all nor have I ever heard of anyone having a problem. Just make sure you read the listing carefully to make sure you are ordering the correct book - and make sure you know the return policy in case you make a mistake.
